Five times a year a 3′ X 5′ American Flag is placed in your yard, on (President’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day & Patriots Day, and Veteran’s Day).
The donations are used for several items that help the fire department function. The funds are used for insurance,
operational expenses, maintenance of the vehicles (which is ongoing), and maintenance on the building. Last year, our flag program raised over $8295 within the Land’s End, Wolf Creek, and Royal Oak’s neighborhoods, plus a few local businesses. We have increased our numbers every year and hope to continue the tradition!
We rely on our wonderful, dedicated, fabulous, group of volunteers to perform this feat. NEW volunteers are ALWAYS welcome and appreciated. We have streamlined our approach and are normally able to get the job done within 2 hours.
Speaking of volunteering, the fire station is ALWAYS looking for new recruits for the department. Yay!! If you have some time for helping the station out, it would be much appreciated & dragging a firehose around fighting a fire is not a requirement. We are blessed here at Land’s End to have our own fire department that saves us ALL on our annual homeowner’s insurance premium.
Note – The fees below are for the entire year, NOT per holiday.
