The 16th annual Fireman’s Golf Tournament is scheduled to occur at the Link’s of Land’s End June 22, 2019.
Land’s End Homeowner, Garry Schnabel has volunteered his time to assist Rick Nichols, our Fire Chief, with support for this important cause.
The Land’s End Volunteer Fire Department needs your support! To allow the fire department to continue to fulfill their critical mission of protecting our lives and our property from the adverse effects of a devastating fire or medical emergency, they need our support. This Fireman’s Golf Benefit is their most important financial resource to continue that protection. Unlike many small communities, we are blessed with a great volunteer fire and rescue emergency service organization. I know many of you well recognize the insurance benefits we receive (20-25% from most insurers) by having them in such close proximity to us as well as from the additional training they conduct – we are very fortunate and it’s important to keep them in operation!
How can I help (see attached flier for details & Registration)?
- Sign-up to be a Team Sponsor— the best and most helpful support because you are supporting the cause and enjoying a memorable day.
Even if you’re a naivest at this game, come out for a memorable day of golf, food, fun and socializing with great neighbors.
- If it’s just won’t fit your schedule to play in the event—make a cash donation. Sign-up to be a Hole Sponsor, Premier Sponsor or a Clubhouse Sponsor or one of the other options if you cannot make the golf event. these sponsorships are also very important and assist them financially!
- Sign-up as a volunteer too!
Get your team put together now, it’s only 6+ weeks away—-June 22nd will be here fast!

As Chief Nichols mentioned to me, “As a private entity, we do not receive city tax revenue, we depend on this event to pay expenses, replace and repair worn-out equipment, buy expensive fire protection gear and stay abreast of required and necessary training. We also consider ourselves a valued and important neighbor and work hard to make sure all our neighbors have a safe place to live, work and play.”
Please send your Registration Form and check to Land’s End Fire department, P.O. Box 247, Yantis, TX 75497, Attn. Rick Nichols, Chief.
Please make the effort to support this important cause! Feel free to reach out to me if you need forms or any additional information.
