quitmanarboretum

The Stinson House at the Quitman Arboretum hosts a bare root tree sale on February 14, with proceeds benefiting the Quitman Arboretum and Botanical Gardens.

Friends of the Arboretum hosts a Bare Root Tree Sale on February 14.

Instead of spending money on candy or flowers that won’t last, why not give your loved ones trees? They last a life time and help the environment and help replant East Texas.

This sale offers Flowering Dogwood, Shumard Oak, Tupelo Blackgum (which gives the vibrant red in the fall), and Flowering Red Bud.

Instruction on how to plant and care for the trees is provided. The trees are $1.50 each or 10 for $12.

All proceeds from this sale benefit the Quitman Arboretum and Botanical Gardens to continue their growth. The sale takes place at the Stinson House located at Quitman Arboretum behind the Governor Jim Hogg City Park on Highway 37.
